Taking its name from illicit township drinking dens, the colourful dining room features chunky wooden furniture, carved African art and an eye-catching ceiling. The wine list and selection of beers also reflect the restaurant’s South African heritage. Such is the success of the Shebeen idea, the company has two other branches in Edinburgh. This is a great venue for group dining as well as more intimate meals.
