So glad I made the correct choice!!!

It’s been a long time since I’ve been here and I have to say it was as lovely as I remembered ❤️ The staff were excellent and very attentive but not intrusive which I love. The meal itself was outstanding 🤩 I had the risotto which I had a long time ago so I was more than pleased to find it was as good as I remembered I’ve tried other Italian restaurants but I have to say Il Pavone is my favourite 🥰

    Disappointing

Restaurant was empty probably due to the lovely weather. Starters were nice, we had a selection platter. Mains extremely disappointing- lacked taste, seemed to focus on one key ingredient - eg my dish was meant to be a prawn stir fry type thing but was just a plate of tasteless egg plant. The other dish was the same but with chillis. We did not eat most of it and we were not even asked was that ok or did we enjoy the meal etc as you would expect. Also long wait from starters to mains which was strange given the place was empty. The restaurant comes under “Chinese” filter but not much Chinese about it, I should have checked the menus as I don’t think we would have went if I had. Also incorrect bill given with no discount which was rectified when I pointed it out. Overall, strange menu, not really our taste, perhaps ok for a small starter snack snd a drink but would not waste the money doing a full meal here. Disappointing.
