The Strathmore was very welcoming on a wintry night.

The dining room is warm and nicely lit, with the stove in a corner very apt on such a snowy night. Service was very good and there was lots of choice. Excellent value and ideal before going to a concert in Byres Road.

    Citation

Been before and the service is normally very good but on this latest visit it could only be described as appalling. The place was not busy yet the waitresses took an eternity to do anything. This will not put us off as we have been before, when it was extremely busy on Saturdays, when the service has been great but more importantly because the food is of a very good standard.
