About The Polton Inn

The Polton Inn is back
We went on a Sunday night last minute thing. Previously we had given up on the PI as the food and service was a lot to be desired but now I've got to say the food is really good, again service was really good and excellent value for money. The only slight niggle I had was my steak was a bit over-cooked for my liking but still nice all the same. We will definitely be back.

Traditional pub in Lasswade
The Polton Inn is a traditional neighbourhood pub in the village of Lasswade, just outside of Edinburgh. As well as the public bar, there is a lounge bar and restaurant plus a beer garden for the summer days. A hub for the local community, The Polton Inn also offers a warm welcome to visitors. Between the televised sporting events and the regular domino and darts team matches, The Polton Inn is always lively.
Classic bar menus
The chefs at The Polton Inn like to use as many local suppliers as possible. The battered haddock from Dickson’s of Port Seton is a prime example. Other pub classics include the steak and ale pie, gourmet burger and haggis, neeps ‘n’ tatties.
Featuring rump and sirloin steaks, gammon and surf and turf, the grill section is always a hit. Chilli con carne, vegetable jalfrezi and a chicken tikka are popular with those who like a little spice. The sharing platters are popular with friends who want to graze over a drink or two. The house platter of chicken wings, chicken goujons, garlic bread, criss cross fries, BBQ sauce and sour cream is highly recommended.
