    Bargain cocktails!

We had focaccia followed by steaks. All delicious! We opted for 40% food discount. Loved our friendly waiter and the decor! As usual our bar bill was more than our food!

    Great food and service

5 of us visited on a busy Saturday night and we were seated at a very spacious booth. Our waitress was lovely and was very accommodating when we asked for ingredients to be added or deducted from our food. We drank cocktails all night, chosen from their vast cocktail menu. They were delicious and very reasonably priced at £4.95. There was a slight hiccup with one of our desserts but it wasn't a problem and was very quickly rectified. The manager came over to apologise and gave us the correct dessert on the house which was very much appreciated. This wasn't our first visit to Gusto and certainly won't be our last. Food, drinks, atmosphere and service were all 5 star.

Stylish Italian in Glasgow city centre

Taking its cue from the grand cafés of Europe, Gusto is a rather handsome Italian restaurant and café on Bothwell Street. As well as a beautiful Art Deco style island bar, it has eye-catching feature lighting, lovely booths and a terrace dining area which is much sought after on fine days.

Classic and contemporary Italian dishes

Open for morning coffees right through to lavish evening meals, Gusto offers several tempting menus packed with classic and contemporary Italian dishes. The pasta dishes run from a simple spaghetti tossed in a light tomato ragu to opulent plates of lobster and prawn spaghetti. The pizzas featured include a classic Margherita and a more globe-trotting Peking duck pizza flavoured with hoisin, spring onions and coriander. Other options include roast cod wrapped in Prosciutto; the Gusto burger; a selection of steaks and the roast lamb rump with buttered soy beans, asparagus and trofiette pasta. The healthy living menu has many fans. Typical dishes might be the salt baked sea bass or the pan-fried chicken breast served with spiced lentils.
