Gorgeous cottage

Available seven days a week (£60 supplement for weekend stays), this offer is for a three night stay in Margmore Cottage at Errichel Farm.

Sleeping six, Margmore Cottage benefits from under floor central heating on the ground floor and radiators upstairs, a wood burning stove and beautiful furnishings. 

Margmore is in a truly special location, sitting just above the famous Birks of Aberfeldy. It is a detached cottage with no neighbours in sight and yet is still only a five minute drive to Aberfeldy town centre. 

The main farmhouse is a ten minute drive away. The cottage has a walled private garden and is on a private water supply. 

As it is up a long and bumpy farm track, it can be difficult to access in winter, and a four-wheel drive vehicle is essential in the snow. 

However, once you are up at Margmore, with all your favourite food and drink, a few good books and a pair of boots, you will not want to leave.

Thyme Restaurant

The kitchens in the cottage are very well equipped.

And on those nights when manning the stove doesn’t appeal, Errichel’s Thyme restaurant serves the finest Scottish produce with flavours and influences from around the world. 

Situated in the Roundhouse at the main farm, Thyme is open Thursday to Saturday.

See & do

As well as enjoying the countryside, there are plenty of other local attractions. Highland Safaris offer fantastic off-road safaris while whisky lovers may want to make a pilgrimage to Dewar’s World of Whisky.

Other attractions include Perth Concert Hall, The Scottish Crannog Centre and Pitlochry Festival Theatre.

Adventurous guests may want to pack their skis. Glenshee is just an hour away.

_’Two day escape. We stayed for two nights in the Margmore cottage and loved it. It was really high-spec, spacious but still very cosy. You couldn’t meet friendlier, more helpful people than those running the place. We’d definitely stay here again when next in Aberfeldy. One thing I would say is that the track up to the cottage would be fairly rough but we made it, even in the snow!
