Gourmet dining

If you choose option two, then you can sit down to a leisurely three course meal for two in the sleek Brasserie Abode.

Dishes can change, but sample mains include crisp pork belly with apple & sage compote; grilled fillet of sea bream with lobster & crayfish broth, and macaroni with truffle shavings.

Note that there will be a supplement on select dishes like steaks.

‘This hotel is ideal for anyone who likes a place with character and wants a base to explore the city. We enjoyed the elegant entrance hall, the friendly and helpful staff and the historic lift, which could be part of a film set. We had a lovely room, clean and tastefully decorated. Above all, it was quiet at night. No noises from the street. No annoying hotel noises either, not even from the historic lift. In my experience that is pretty unusual. We enjoyed a very good breakfast. And had a great time exploring Glasgow, which was easy because of the relatively central location…’
