Rab Ha's

Way back in the 19th century, the original Rab Ha was famous, or rather infamous, for his enormous appetite.

Known as the Glasgow glutton, people would bet on his ability to eat a stone of potatoes or an entire calf in pie form.

Family-run restaurant with rooms

The very opposite of a bland chain hotel, Rab Ha’s is an independent, family-run with business with oodles of character.

Visitors can look forward to a cosy and tranquil space with stripped stone walls, an open fire and wood panelling in the bar and restaurant. Perfect for a cosy winter break.

Two course dinner

Available seven days a week, the offer is for two people to have an overnight stay in a double room. As well as a full Scottish breakfast, this offer includes a two course dinner for each guest.

Typical starters or small plates at Rab Ha’s include the Thai broth mussels, a prawn and crab cocktail and the serrano ham with chorizo, olive tapenade and pecorino cheese.

Popular main courses include the bangers and mash, steak pie and the salmon teriyaki with pickled ginger and jasmine rice.

The menu is good fun. the veggie haggis referred to as the grass-eating variety while chips are, perhaps inevitably, known as Glasgow salad.

There is a £4 supplement on the sirloin steak.
