Victorian hotel
Completed with the arrival of the West Highland Railway in 1882, the Oban Caledonian Hotel is one of the town’s landmark hotels and it enjoys a great location by the harbour – perfect for watching the boats come and go to the islands.
This offer is for two people to spend an overnight stay in a standard double or twin at the Oban Caledonian.
As well as a full Scottish breakfast in the morning, guests will be invited to enjoy tea or coffee and some cake. Before, enjoying a pre dinner drink, then a three course meal in the hotel’s candlelit Restaurant Caledonian with a bottle of wine to share. To finish off your evening you can also enjoy a selected drink after dinner.
Modern comforts
While it dates to Victorian times, the hotel features 21st century facilities such as free WiFi in all 59 of the bedrooms.
In keeping with the hotel’s seafront location, each of the Caledonian’s well appointed bedrooms has a nautical theme.
Standard rooms mainly have views to McCaig’s Folly and the Soroba Hills and there is the option to upgrade to sea view rooms which look out over Oban Bay to Kerrera.
Scottish produce
This fantastic offer includes a two course dinner in the candlelit Restaurant Caledonian. Carefully restored with chandeliers and ornate plasterwork, the Restaurant is a Victorian dining room showcasing the best of Scotland’s larder.
The menu changes daily in keeping with the seasons and local produce available. Seafood from the cold, clean surrounding waters is a speciality.
See & do
As well as being the departure point for ferries to Mull and beyond, Oban and the surrounding area are packed with great things to see and do. From a tour of Oban Distillery to a Seafari adventure via whale watching, you won’t be bored.
