Scotland’s only artificial white water centre

On North Canal Bank Street, just beyond the M8, Pinkston watersports centre is Scotland’s only artificial white water centre.

It’s really close to the city and a great place to get a group of you together and try something new – we have to warn you, you will be getting wet!

You will be tackling the full-on whitewater course. This is a 100m long, ten metre wide purpose-built course.

It features special underwater blocks called Rapid Blocs. These create rapids with swirling water challenges and obstacles at every turn.

The entire experience will take around 2.5-3 hours on site with an hour on the water. All equipment is provided.

Choose between:

White Water Rafting

Descend the rapids, in a six-person inflatable kayak. With a guide at the helm, you and your will crew attempt to manoeuvre, paddle, steer and control this bouncing craft as you career down the course.

Funyaks

Alternatively, go all Hawaii 5-0 with a Funyak. These inflatable craft are a bit like a kayak, but a lot less tricky to handle. Armed with a twin-blade paddle, you and your Funyaking partner will ride tandem down the rapids.

River Boarding

Solo white water fiends can ride the rapids on a boogie board. Using your body to steer through the swirling waters of Pinkston, this is a rough and raw, back to basics watersport.

You’ll need to be at ease on the board and, more importantly, in the water for this one. You’ll be given fins so you can propel yourself through those fast-moving Scottish white waters. Thrills and spills guaranteed.

Sessions require minimum numbers of 4 to operate so individuals and couples will join other small groups.
