The American author Ernestine Ulmer once said, ‘Life is uncertain, eat dessert first.’
Life may well be uncertain. However, we are pretty sure that you can be confident of enjoying all three courses with today’s Big Deal at Urban Bar and Brasserie.
A rather suave restaurant on St Vincent Place, Urban Bar and Brasserie is run by Head Chef David Clunas who serves classic dishes presented in his own inimitable and contemporary style.
Fresh, seasonal and, wherever possible, locally sourced products are at the heart of his cooking.
Today’s Big Deal is for two people to enjoy a three course meal from the seasonal market menu in Urban Bar and Brasserie.
City centre elegance
Once home to the Bank of England’s Scottish HQ, Urban Bar and Brasserie has retained its dashing good looks.
Decked out with wood panels, stunning flower displays and ornate cornicing, it is rather an elegant city centre spot.
Available noon to 9pm, Sunday to Thursday and noon to 4pm on Fridays, the offer is for two people to each have a starter, main course and dessert from the summer market menu.
The exact dishes will depend on the ingredients in season but this recent menu should give you an idea:
