It may be nippy outside but today’s Big Deal with Fino means that you can give your taste buds some Spanish sunshine.
A contemporary Spanish tapas restaurant, Fino is in the Rotunda on Tunnel Street by The Hydro and SECC.
Designed by the Glasgow artist and architect Ranald MacColl, it’s a cool venue with spectacular views along the Clyde.
Scottish ingredients & Spanish passion
Executive Chef Modesto Fabregat combines the finest Scottish ingredients with a very Spanish passion for fantastic food.
Available seven days a week, today’s Big Deal is for two people to share five tapas followed by a dessert each.
There is a wide selection of mouth watering tapas to choose from.
As well as traditional choices like the chorizo tortilla, air-dried jamon and meat balls, there are modern tapas such as the crispy prawn crackers served with a black aioli dressing and a dish of mushrooms and a poached egg, topped with breadcrumbs and a potato foam.
Cooked to order, the dishes are delivered hot to the table as soon as they are ready.
Writing in The Herald, Ron Mackenna reckoned that Fino’s chefs served ‘outstandingly good and authentic dishes’.

‘Wonderful food. The food was lovely, the staff were very attentive but not intrusive. This was my second visit and it will not be my last. It is the best tapas food I have tasted outside Spain.’ Rating 5/5
