Named after the old Scots word for thistle, the Thrisstle Restaurant prides itself on using as much local produce as possible.

Available 5pm-9pm, seven days a week, this offer is for two people to have a steak dinner with a glass of house wine.

Diners can tuck into a 21 day-aged, 10oz, Ribeye Steak, cooked to your liking and served with fries, tomato and mushrooms.

‘Had an excellent meal at the Kirkhouse Inn in newly, tastefully refurbished dining room. Had a very good choice of menu and staff were attentive and cheerful. Three of us opted for the fillet steaks which were cooked to perfection… Leave space for the desserts which were again excellent. The hotel has recently undergone a refurbishment programme throughout and would highly recommend a visit.’

Day out

Just half an hour from both Glasgow and Stirling, the Kirkhouse in Strathblane is ideally placed for a day out to Loch Lomond and the Trossachs National Park.

The hotel is also handy for walkers doing the West Highland Way and visitors to the nearby Glengoyne distillery.
