‘Wonderful hotel. We stayed in the Loch Tay room… It was beautifully decorated; light, airy and spacious. It had all the mod cons we could have wanted, and the bathroom too was immaculate. I was pleased they had provided bath robes, lots of towels and toiletries, and a blanket and spare pillows too! Although breakfast isn’t served here, there are plenty of lovely little cafes nearby offering various early dishes and brunch menus. Our room did overlook a bar below, and there was noise for a few hours each evening, and glasses being emptied in the morning. This didn’t bother us at all, but might some other people. Overall a brilliant stay, and I’d thoroughly recommend and not hesitate to return. Thank you Twelve Picardy Place!’

‘This small and charming hotel is conveniently located and within walking distance of the Royal Mile, George Street, Princes Street, and the train station. The rooms are a nice size and are very comfortable. Ask for a room overlooking the front. My sister’s room had a beautiful skylight directly over her bed. Bathrooms are small but completely serviceable and very clean. The steak restaurant in the hotel was outstanding. Only downside was no lift, but the staff very obligingly carried our bags up!’
