The proud holder of 2 AA rosettes, The Two Fat Ladies restaurant at The Marine Hotel opened in November. The latest venture from the highly successful family of Glasgow Two Fats restaurants, the new branch features a stunning maritime mural and also overlooks the Royal Troon to Arran.

The modern menu specialises in fresh and seasonal dishes. Exact choices will change regularly but typical options might be starters such as the Cullen skink or the mackerel tartare with pickled vegetables and dressed micro herbs. Popular main courses include the blade of Scotch beef with chive mash, button onion, pancetta and red wine jus or the oven-baked fillet of cod, chorizo and chickpea stew.

Leisure Facilities

Finally, the Deal includes full use of the spa’s soothing facilities including the gym, swimming pool, sauna, steam room, Jacuzzi and solarium.

‘The welcome on check-in was the first indication of the high quality staff, all showing a welcoming and polite manner throughout our stay. Our room was standard; the hotel was nicely decorated and the pool and gym clean and well maintained. Our meal in The Two Fat Ladies was delicious, with very good service. The service at breakfast time was also first class with staff having a happy, friendly approach to greet people in the morning. We had beautiful weather and the view from the bar and restaurant was stunning. Will definitely visit again.’
