First came here 4 years ago & had the most amazing meal. Returned for our wedding anniversary meal & it lived up to all our good memories & expectations. Service was so friendly & efficient without being overbearing. It was a Monday evening so reasonably quiet but it was very pleasant. Food was amazing. Starters of Cullen skink & goats cheese tartlet were very tasty with a plentiful portion. Ribeye steaks to follow which were done to perfection & again, a plentiful portion. No room for dessert unfortunately but maybe that's not a bad thing! Used the 20% off deal which was great but would happily have paid full price for the food as the quality was second to none. Keep up the good work!

Located on Kinnoull Street, The Bothy Perth is a relaxed restaurant serving traditional cuisine made with Scottish produce. The warm and homely atmosphere is the perfect place to relax with friends or family and to enjoy home-cooked comfort food. Child-friendly and wheelchair accessible, The Bothy Perth is ideally situated for visitors to the Perth Playhouse as well as Perth Theatre.
The restaurant chefs use the best Scottish produce to offer a varied menu with classic items like Marshall’s macaroni glazed with strong cheddar cheese; freshly battered haddock with tartare sauce, crushed peas and a ‘poke’ (‘portion’, to you non-Scots!) of chips; or pub lunch favourite, the 100% Scottish beef burger with hand cut chips, tomato salsa and pickle.
The Bothy Perth also like to introduce an international flavour to their dishes, evidenced in items like seared tuna steak with coconut rice in a ginger, chilli & coriander broth; the chicken & chorizo terrine with Melba toast and sweet onion chutney; or the crab and avocado crostini with chilli jam. Special mention must go to the restaurant’s ‘Fish Finger Butty’ on offer at lunchtimes for diners looking for a more sophisticated version of that childhood treat, which consists of breaded white fish, crisp gem lettuce, lemon mayonnaise and a dill bap.
The Bothy is on Kinnoull Street in the centre of Perth and a brisk 10 minute walk from Perth train station. Paid parking is available in the multi-storey car park along from the restaurant and several bus stops can also be found nearby.
Free wifi access is available every day of the week, ideal if you’ve got a working lunch or just feel like a nosey on Facebook.
