About The Living Room, Manchester
Chic dining in Deansgate
The Living Room’s colonial decor and baby grand piano gives it a charmingly retro vibe. However, you are soon brought back to the present with the thoroughly modern cocktails and cuisine. Curved booths, soft pink chairs and an airy windowed ceiling make this a stylish and comfortable spot for dinner, afternoon tea or brunch. If you are planning a special celebration, romantic date or sparkling night out with friends, this could be the ideal choice.
Classic comfort food with a chef’s touch
The Living Room serves a chic, modern European version of classic comfort food. As well as pub favourites, you can sample a range of dishes with a distinctly cheffy edge. Menus can vary, but starters might include prawn lollipops; baked Camembert with focaccia, and sesame, lemon and paprika sliced chicken breast.
Tempting mains might feature beef and ale pie with buttered mash and red wine gravy; rack of lamb with maple and dijon mustard, and grilled lemon sole with pesto white wine sauce. Rump, sirloin and fillet steaks are also available, plus burgers, sandwiches and sharing plates.
Veggies can feast on truffle and hard cheese gnocchi; asparagus and pea girasole, or a portobello mushroom burger with courgette spaghetti and Stilton.
If you have room, treat yourself to a decadent dessert such as crème brûlée in the chef’s flavour of the day or rich chocolate tray-baked brownie with hazelnut ice cream.
Complementing the food is an impressive wine and Champagne list, plus cocktails created by professional mixologists. House specials include Bubble Gum Iced Tea and Salted Caramel Glory.
