My partner and I visited here on Saturday 24 Jan for lunch. We had booked for 1:30pm and upon arrival we were offered any seating we preferred as it wasn't too busy. We ordered from the special set menu for lunch which was a great price at £13 for 3 courses. I ordered the sweetcorn soup, chicken and sticky toffee pudding and my parter ordered the salmon, pork and also stick toffee pudding. Unfortunately, when the soup arrived it was far too salty. I have no doubt this was just overseasoning on the chefs part. Once my partner brought it to the attention of the staff, they were very apologetic and instantly offered me the menu for a replacement. So I opted for the chicken liver parfait instead which arrived within about 2 minutes and was lovely.
The rest of the food was beautiful and very tasty, and we were in the restaurant for well over 2 hours.
They did not offer a free drink which I would have expected given the initial start to my lunch, however, it didn't really let it down as I couldn't fault anything else.
They must have made more soup as someone ordered it later on!
We will definitely go back in future.
