Great little restaurant with very friendly and helpful staff!
Very tasty food and great service.
Ordered coffee at the end which wasn’t included in the voucher but it was complimentary when I asked for the bill.

Food in this restaurant is always excellent but this deal is extremely good value. The cold platter to start is ideal. There is a huge choice of tapas dishes from which to choose 5 - the problem is deciding which to go for! We never usually have room for a dessert but the churros and tarte santiago complement the meal and make a lovely satisfying, sweet finish!

Promising ‘Spain on your doorstep’, Sangria Tapas Bar is a rustic, taverna-style restaurant with stone walls, wooden tables and vibrant splashes of red.
Beyond tapas, you can sample an extensive menu of Spanish classics influenced by popular modern cuisine, plus a few signature dishes as well. There is also a fair range of veggie and gluten-free options.
Tapas dishes at Sangria include breast of chicken strips in sweet smoked paprika batter & garlic; black pig pork ribs, and aubergine fritters in Spanish honey. Seafood choices feature king prawns with chillies & garlic oil or steamed fresh mussels. Or you could opt for a speciality tapas like braised Iberian black pudding with apple & onion chutney, or the house recipe Spanish sausage wrapped in steak with onions and pepper sauce.
If you’re not in a sharing kind of mood, then mains include fillet or sirloin steak; pan-fried salt cod with chorizo and black pudding, or a Spanish stew of steak, chorizo sausage, chicken fillet, ribs, manchego cheese and chilli.
You can also take your pick from a range of paellas like mixed seafood with lemon; chicken & chorizo with mixed vegetables, or spiced beef & vegetables.
Desserts include traditional Crema Catalana, Spanish almond tart or a warm pancake with banana & saffron syrup and vanilla ice cream.
Sangria is in the centre of Hamilton on Gateside Street, just over a five-minute walk from the main train station. You could pop in for lunch after shopping at the Regent Centre, or before heading to the VUE cinema or Town House theatre, which are both a quick drive away.
Chatelherault Country Park is also less than 10 minutes away by car.
