  We used the 5pm deal at £12 each for the 2 course Market Menu with wine. The lively waiter explained that we could opt for a "schooner" of St Mungos lager (400ml) which I went for and it really complimented the meal. To start, my partner had the chicken liver parfait which was delicious with good seasoning. I opted for the chicken and Stornoway black pudding salad which was good, although the parfait was the better choice. My partner's main choice was sold out but a replacement dish from the A la Carte menu was offered. We had game casserole and seasonal vegetable risotto which were both flavourful and well sized considering the price of the deal. The atmosphere is buzzing in the restaurant even on a Tuesday night, but if full it has probably a few too many tables squeezed into the dining area for a romantic meal, better for larger groups and friends. That being said we will definitely be back for more!
