Arrived at One Devonshire Gardens and we were attentively seen to immediately. The service was very good and the Champagne was excellent and served very well. We had a choice of breads and we chose the Focaccia which was very salty although nice & light. The Starters were very good with two having Spring Rolls, 1 Mushroom Soup and 1 Kipper Pate. All in all, the soup and the Kipper Pate was very good and the Spring Rolls were ok.
The Mains were 2 Lamb Terrine & Couscous, 1 Fish (Coley)dish and 1 Risotto . Nothing to shout about, but ok. Desserts were four Sticky Toffee puddings which were good but not as tasty as others elsewhere. Not a great choice especially as we had two people who were Vegetarian.
Not what I expected for a Hotel du Vin.
