  I am afraid we will not be back to Bar Soba Merchant City. This was our second visit, the first one was below par but we put it down to one 'Jack the lad' serving our table and his complete lack of interest in customers. Side orders not delivered and wrong main arrived. However, although there was no 'Jack the lad' fundamental mistakes were made with our order again. I ordered a portion of chips and was asked did I want them with my starter or main, I asked or them with my starter. They never arrived, when I asked for them I was 'told' I asked for them with my main. Cancelled them as it would have taken 10 mins for them to come. My partner does not eat dairy and ordered the burger with no mayo, slaw or any kind or diary, he was very specific. It arrived with mayo. Unlike me, he didn't want to mention it and only ate one side of the bun and the burger. No one asked about that when the plates were taken. We were asked was our starter ok by three of the six different people who were serving our table, none of them seemed to have a clue what the other one was doing. We waited 45 mins for our mains to arrive even with six people attending to us, the restaurant was not busy so no sure why it took so long. We then had to ask twice for the bill. Too many cooks definitely spoiled it, it was not established if both mistakes were kitchen or waiting mistakes, regardless it was overall a poor experience.
