  I really love the Sky Bar. My husband and I have been several times and have stayed in the hotel on a few occasions. We have a little dog who is always warmly welcomed at the Sky Bar so we have always enjoyed our previous visits. I booked the afternoon tea and on arrival I couldn’t see our reserved table so waited to speak to a server. I was shown to the table and advised that my husband would follow in a few minutes. He arrived soon after but we waited 25 minutes for someone to come to the table to take our order. At one point my husband approached the bar to make it known we were ready but the staff were so busy making drinks they weren't serving anyone. Our drinks order was finally taken and arrived fairly promptly. When the food finally arrived, we were disappointed with the selection. Four finger sandwiches, two small pastries and two small pieces of bread with hummus were the savoury treats. The sweet treats had two different types of sweet tart, chocolate mousse and some whipped cream with a couple of berries on top. The highlight was the small scone on top. It had been nicely warmed and came with clotted cream and jam. Believe it or not we also had to request the hot drinks to accompany the food. Although I’m sure we will return to the Sky Bar, I very much doubt we will ever try the afternoon tea again.
