Spacious International restaurant near the SECC

The Mariner Bar & Restaurant serves a wide variety of dishes that would keep any international traveller happy. Located within Crowne Plaza Hotel in the Finnieston area of Glasgow next to the SECC, Scottish Hydro and Clyde auditorium, the restaurant is a popular choice for pre-concert meals. The restaurant decor has a maritime theme in homage to the city’s shipbuilding industry and the River Clyde which is just a stone’s throw away, and the open plan dining room allows for some rather spectacular views.

Scottish produce, International cuisine

Dishes from all over the world are created using Scottish ingredients at The Mariner Bar & Restaurant. Their varied menu may include dishes like roast rack of lamb with crushed Provencal potatoes and a red currant jus, something exotic such as pan-seared duck breast with pak choi and sweet chilli sauce, or a traditional dish of oak-smoked salmon and gravadlax served with baby capers and lemon.

The Mariner Bar & Restaurant also offers a hot table buffet with traditional starters like soup of the day or prawns with Marie Rose sauce, a carvery with other hot main courses such as chilli con carne and grilled salmon, along with a selection of gateaux, cheesecake and fruit.
