First time at Derby Lane and hopefully not the last, great ambience, loved the decor, staff excellent and very accommodating.

With its pink, gold and aqua facade, Derby Lane is a treat for the eye as much as the stomach. And inside you will find an interior that spirits you away to the chic beachy eateries of the Hamptons.
From the canary-yellow chairs to the neon lighting to the pink flamingo art, the vibe is quirky, fun and luxurious. Head here for breakfast, brunch, lunch, afternoon tea or dinner, or to sample a creative cocktail or three.
Dishes are designed to conjure up the tastes of Manhattan and the Hamptons, as well as much closer to home favourites.
Highlights include the New York-style signature brunch, flat iron steak and the ultimate lobster roll. Plus you can tuck into eggs made just about every way you can imagine, including ‘bennies’ like the Stornoway special with black pudding.
Cocktails are inspired by Tiki culture, with playful garnishes and bespoke ingredients made in-house. Try out a dangerous absinthe concoction like the Green-Eyed Fairy, or a sharing cocktail like the Full Moon Tea Party with Hendrick’s Lunar Gin.
Desserts are crafted with tender loving care and include baked vanilla cheesecake with Cargo Cult Spiced Rum, caramelised banana & dark chocolate, as well as a milk chocolate panna cotta with cinnamon twists.
Derby Lane is at the Finnieston end of Sauchiehall Street, within walking distance of the city centre and close to Kelvingrove Park. The nearest train station is Exhibition Centre, around a seven-minute stroll away.
