The Pipers' Tryst Review

  • Rating Good Scottish fare at a good price (Rating 4.8/5)
We had the £35 deal (2 courses for two plus a bottle of wine) and we enjoyed it thoroughly. The wine was a lovely Portuguese red. My husband enjoyed his cullen skink immensely - it was loaded with smoked fish unlike some others he had tasted. My prawn cocktail was lovely too. The main course of steak was done to our taste with lovely homemade chips. The sweet (we couldn't resist) was light as a feather sticky toffee pudding-delicious. Service was good and they did not hurry us though the restaurant was packed. All in all, lovely.
