The Italian Kitchen is an Italian restaurant on Ingram Street in Glasgow’s Merchant City which uses traditional cooking methods and fresh, quality produce to deliver a wide array of tasty dishes. The modern, sleek decor of The Italian Kitchen belies the unpretentious, welcoming atmosphere and friendly yet attentive restaurant staff.
Wheelchair accessible and child-friendly, the restaurant is both stylish and classic with rich red leather seats and booths providing comfort as well as elegance.
The restaurant’s menu offers something for everyone, with smaller portions available for guests with children. Some signature dishes at The Italian Kitchen include ravioli with lobster or rabbit; the linguine with Tuscan sausage, chillies & fennel; and also the artisan sourdough pizzas which are made with the finest San Marzano tomatoes, extra virgin olive oil and fior di latte mozzarella (although buffalo mozzarella is available on request).
Diners looking forward to desserts will not be disappointed as traditional items such as homemade ice cream (vanilla, strawberry or chocolate) and tiramisu are often made daily at The Italian Kitchen. Also worth a try is the vanilla panacotta with pineapple carpaccio and a Malibu & mint syrup.
