Unique city centre bar

With a copper bar, Art Deco cupola and a frieze inspired by the Sistine Chapel, it is fair to say that The Hope on Waterloo Street is unique among Glasgow’s bars. Centrally located, it is the ideal spot for lunch; an after work drink or night out.

Contemporary and classic bar food

Open from 8am, The Hope serves breakfast, lunch, dinner and all points in between. The slow pulled pork with potato skins and BBQ sauce is hugely popular as are the steak pie and Cullen skink. As well as a selection of small plates, the kitchen produces excellent burgers and a grill selection that includes rib eye steaks. For those of us watching our figures, the menu also has a range of dishes which come in at under 500 calories. Choices include Moroccan chicken. Others may prefer the fish ‘n’ chips.

Attractive bar by Central Station

The Hope is on Waterloo Street in the heart of the financial district and just yards away from Central Station. It is perfectly located for a lunch break during a shopping trip or a pre-theatre meal. On-street parking is limited.
