Great wee restaurant so reasonable only downfall it’s quite cold when door opens. Other wise definitely recommend.❤️

Mezcal is a casual eating spot serving up fiery flavours. Inside you will find a rainbow wonderland of bold neon and colourful tiling. Working exclusively with acclaimed Mexican chef, Adriana Cavita, the menu uses fresh Scottish ingredients to take your taste buds on a spicy journey.
Although Mexican cuisine is the focus at Mezcal, the menu showcases dishes from further afield, such as Peru. It is split into sharing plates, seafood ceviche, tacos, quesadillas, tostadas, salads and sides.
The tacos are a bit of a speciality and feature braised marinated pork leg with black beans; fresh Scottish salmon with Mexican tempura, and flat-iron steak with guacamole & caramelised onion. Other choices include the chicken & Mexican bean quesadilla and the fresh Scottish calamari with jalapeño mayo.
Veggies can tuck into options like the pumpkin tacos; sweet potato tostada or cheese & mushroom quesadilla.
Mezcal is based on Hope Street, a short stroll from Central Station and not far from Queen Street station. It’s handy for Cineworld and King Tut’s, as well as the main city centre shopping strips. Pay parking is available at Central.
