While Di Maggio’s Theatreland branch is very much part of the popular west of Scotland group of Italian American restaurants, its location means that it has perhaps just a little more of a grown-up feel than the other branches. Family-friendly and wheelchair accessible, the restaurant is next to Glasgow’s Royal Concert Hall and is popular with audience members and performers alike. Its proximity to other venues also make Di Maggio’s Theatreland a magnet for cinema and theatre-goers looking to enjoy a pre- or post-show meal.
Di Maggio’s Theatreland knows exactly what Glasgow wants from an Italian American kitchen and delivers it every time. There is a choice of over twenty pizza from the traditional wood-fired oven and dozens of pasta dishes which swing from well known combos like the New York spaghetti and meatballs to house specialities like the Di Maggio penne piccante.
As well as pizza and pasta, there are nachos, stuffed mushrooms, BBQ baby back ribs, mussels and minestrone and that’s just a selection of the starters. The main courses run from chicken, rib and steak dishes to salads and a choice of seafood dishes created with fish landed in Scotland.
Di Maggio’s Theatreland is on West Nile Street in Glasgow city centre, and is a 5 minute walk from Buchanan bus station and Cowcaddens Subway station. Payable parking is available at the NCP car park across from the restaurant, and Queen Street Station is a brisk 15 minute walk away.
