  Went to Darcy's looking forward to a good meal and a few cocktails. Food was ok, not great but it was nice. The soup was cold and the steak was quite tough, but it was edible. The staff were friendly but were not the most attentive. We were there for nearly 4 hours and in that's time had three cocktails and each time we had to get staff to come to us. When collecting our dinner plates our glasses were empty and we were not offered more drinks. The cocktails took ages to come and always came one at a time. Darcy's is advertised as a restaurant and cocktail bar and this is very disappointing as I would not describe it as a cocktail bar. There were lots of cocktails on the Menu that I wanted to try but couldn't because there was no time. As a group we would have spent a lot more money if the staff were taking drink orders more often. After dinner we were asked if we wanted desert. We asked for a menu and never received one. Realising the last train was soon we asked for the ill. This took a long time to come and when the staff realised we wanted to pay by card it took another twenty minutes for them to bring the card machine. Two card machines didn't work and we needed to leave the restaurant to get cash. Needless to say we missed our train and had to pay for a taxi home. This was even more disappointing as the restaurant was half empty and certainly not busy. The staff were friendly when they came, but seemed more interested in chatting with each other than serving the customers. Don't think I would rush back in a hurry, although the cocktails were delicious when we eventually got them.
