Bread + Butter is tucked away on McCormick Lane off Buchanan Street in the heart of Glasgow. It is a popular spot for lunches and after work drinks or a bite to eat. As well as showing all the big matches on multiple plasma screens, the bar attracts the crowds with its generous drinks offers. DJs turn the buzz up at the weekends and the bar is a good place to pick-up club passes. During the warmer months, customers can dine al fresco in the Buchanan Street terrace.
At lunchtime, Bread + Butter keeps it simple with a keenly priced canteen style menu. Options change regularly but typical choices might be a chicken curry, lasagne, sausage casserole, macaroni cheese or filled baked potato.
From mid-afternoon into the evenings, the pizza menu comes into play. The ten pizza on offer range from a simple double margherita to more exotic choices like the aromatic duck pizza.
Bar snacks such as Cajun-spiced chips, nachos and chicken goujons are good for after work nibbles. Groups often opt for the sharing platter – a 12 inch pizza with your choice of chips and a portion of southern fried chicken goujons.
Bread + Butter is on McCormick Lane, off Buchanan Street and in between Bench and Monsoon. Queen Street and Central train stations are a five minute walk and there is pay parking on Mitchell Street. The shops of Buchanan Street are a major draw and other attractions include The Pavilion Theatre; Glasgow Royal Concert Hall and Cineworld.
