  we had been here for our xmas lunch 2008 and found it very good so as we had a team day out we thought we would go again. the 9.50 2 course plus a glass of wine sounded very good. we were a party of 9 and obviously we all arrived separately within about 10-15mins (the late ones!) and every time a new person came in they were asked what wine they wanted. this I found was very bad timing as the one who came in first had finished their drink before we had even ordered. it would have been allot better to wait for the whole table to be there and then order all at once. I had the salmon Cesar salad which was ok but the lettuce was very wilted. I then had the white steamed fish. which when asked the waitress could not identify but I found it very well cooked and the drizzle of sauce not over powering, however this did not have anything with it. not a vegetable in sight when asked the waitress just said 'that's how it comes' so you are then looking at ordering additional items to complete your meal which defeats the purpose of a special menu as you end up paying the same as the normal menu. comments from my colleagues about their experience was again mostly disappointment as it had been so nice previously.
