I have eaten in the Wee Gurka on several occasions and loved it every time. This time was with friends for a birthday and they loved it. The staff are just lovely and the food is amazing. Keep up the good work as its a special place.

Located in the mountainous Hunter Street region of East Kilbride, Wee Gurkha Curry House is a family-run restaurant which specialises in dishes from the Himalayas and surrounding areas. The restaurant’s interior is themed around a typical Nepalese home. The staff aim to give diners the same warm, Nepalese welcome that they would if they were inviting you into their own home.
The chefs at Wee Gurkha Curry House keep the authentic home-style theme going in the traditional Nepalese, Indian and Tibetan food they serve. It’s a cuisine based on lean meats, vegetables, pickled dishes, salads and subtle spices and herbs.
For the full Nepalese experience try the Nepalese starter platter: steamed momos dumplings, chicken wings, vegetable singada pastries, spiced mushrooms, chicken pakoda, chicken choyla and Nepalese salad. Follow that with dhal bhat masu, a traditional meal served on Nepalese brass serving dishes. It consists of rice, dhal, curry vegetables, green spinach, chutney, salad and your choice of chicken or lamb curry
Linked to Glasgow by the M74 and M77, the Wee Gurkha Curry House is on Hunter Street in East Kilbride. There are number of car parks in the area including one at Glebe Street and another at the train station. Several bus routes run down the nearby Main Street. East Kilbride is the nearest train station. The Show Park and the War Memorial Park are a short stroll.
