Came here for my dads 60th birthday and the staff did everything they could to make it a memorable day for him. They went above and beyond, and were super friendly and the service was amazing. The food was tasty and came out fairly quickly, and they didn’t scrimp on portion size! Would highly recommend here for a special occasion, we will definitely be back.

Launched towards the end of 2013, Mia is a family-run Italian restaurant on Dalry Road, West Edinburgh. A bright, contemporary and welcoming space, Mia serves fresh, Italian dishes. Children are welcome and offered freshly cooked, smaller portions of adult dishes. The regular nights focusing on one Italian region are very popular.
The hot and cold starters at Mia include choices such as calamari, king prawns pan-fried with soft leeks, cherry tomatoes and garlic and platters of fresh buffalo mozzarella and Italian cured meats. The wide selection of pasta and pizza dishes is always popular.
Fish lovers will enjoy browsing the pesce selection. The zuppa di pesce, or seafood and shellfish broth, served with toasted bread comes highly recommended. Veal in a white wine sauce; the duck breast with apple and maple syrup plus the sirloin steak all have their fans. Tiramisu, profiteroles and Italian cheeses will happily fill any space which diners may have left.
Mia Italian restaurant is a few minutes walk from Haymarket train station and Haymarket tram hub in Edinburgh. On-street parking is limited. Several bus routes line Dalry Road and link Mia to the rest of the city. The shops and boutiques of the West End are a ten minute walk as is Edinburgh International Conference Centre.
