La Casa Edinburgh’s Dalry serves an intriguing mix of Spanish and Greek tapas dishes. It is run by a young family who source ingredients from only top suppliers to ensure authenticity. Regular performances from a Spanish band and flamenco dancer result in a lively festive atmosphere reminiscent of flamenco bars of Andalucia.
The dishes at La Casa are split into hot and cold tapas, main courses and desserts. Those who order tapas will have it served in the Mediterranean way – whenever they are ready in no particular order.
Traditional Spanish tapas dishes can be found on the menu, such as patatas bravas, tortilla and padron peppers. However, just as many Greek dishes feature, including halloumi, spanakopita and tzatziki.
The main courses include mixed grill, sea bream, lamb chops and paella.
Those with a sweet tooth can tuck into baklava, panna cotta, churros, ice cream, or the chef’s dessert of the day.
La Casa restaurant is a few minutes walk from Haymarket train station and Haymarket tram hub in Edinburgh. On-street parking is limited. Several bus routes line Dalry Road with buses to the rest of the city. The shops and boutiques of the West End are a ten minute walk as is Edinburgh International Conference Centre.
