Located on the second floor of Princes Square, our table was on the terrace which had a lovely outside feeling. Our waiter, Simon, was attentive, but unobtrusive and knowledgeable. The food was stunning, my scallop starter and lemon sole main course were perfect, and my wife's vegetarian dishes were equally excellent, as were the home made truffles and creme brûlée. Faultless, and very good value considering the quality.

The Restaurant Bar and Grill is located in Glasgow city centre’s stylish Princes Square, just off Buchanan Street. With an open kitchen that also boasts a wood stone oven and rotisserie, the restaurant places an emphasis on serving great food made with carefully selected, fresh ingredients.
Serving the very best British beef and fresh fish, the cooking at The Restaurant Bar and Grill takes inspiration from around the world. Combined with the relaxed atmosphere and dedication to exceptional service, the restaurant delivers a terrific dining experience every time.
Open for brunch, lunch and dinner (as well as some truly delectable cocktails), all dishes are freshly prepared and made on the premises by the restaurant’s chefs. As the food is seasonal, the restaurant’s menus can change. An example of some dishes that may be on offer include the classic grilled asparagus with a poached free range egg and hollandaise; the Asian plate for 2 (comprising of Thai fish cake, spring rolls, chilli squid, tempura prawns & Malayan chicken skewers); or the king prawn linguine with coriander pesto & a sweet chilli sauce.
The Restaurant Bar and Grill does pride itself, however, on the culinary creations that can be cooked with their chargrill and wood stone oven. The Loch Duart salmon is served with red chard, beetroot, citrus & tarragon; the tuna au poivre has a lemon & béarnaise sauce and hand cut chips; and the rustic sounding ‘chicken cooked under a brick’ is done so with lemon & rosemary. Steak lovers will appreciate the restaurant’s in-house butcher who ages the steaks for a minimum of 28 days, with some cuts dry aged on the bone for at least 35 days for a tenderness and a fuller flavour.
The Restaurant Bar and Grill is a brisk 5 minute walk from both Queen Street and Central train stations. The restaurant is wheelchair accessible and also has a private dining room for larger parties. Bus stops are nearby, as are taxi ranks and St. Enoch and Buchanan Street Subway stations.
