Really nice place, quiet when we arrived but got busier later on! Bit cold sometimes but that is maybe because there wasn't many people in at the time. Overall amazing burgers and great puddings. Well worth it!

This is a new restaurant which we found on 5pm and decided to give it a try. We were not disappointed! The service was welcoming and efficient, loads of choice on the menu and different variations to take account of dietary preferences, including low carb, gluten free and vegan. Belted Burgers' sets out its stall based on 100% local sourced beef, from Dumfries and Galloway and although we had chicken burgers on this occasion, which were lovely, I will certainly give the beef a try next time. With reasonably priced wines, it was well worth the money and well worth seeking it out.

The second in a planned group of restaurants, Edinburgh’s Belted Burgers is a bar and restaurant in a quirky cellar space on Frederick Street. Open from noon to midnight (the Pen bar is open to 1am), Belted is a lively spot for a top notch burger, boozy milkshake, craft beer or even a dance to the occasional bout of live music. It is a family-friendly spot which offers free baby food.
Made with prime cuts of 100% traceable beef from the owners’ farm in Dumfries and Galloway, the burgers take centre stage here. Cooked pink, unless requested otherwise, the various burger versions are cooked on a Synergy grill that gives them their unique, beefy flavour. The chicken burgers are made from 100% freedom chickens and there is a range of vegetarian and gluten-free options.
Salads, sides and tapas such as mac ‘n’ cheese or sweetcorn fritters add to the appeal. The most popular dessert is the Belted Blondie: Cream of Galloway vanilla or Bowmore whisky and salted caramel ice cream with a sprinkling of Moffat toffee.
Belted Burger is on Frederick Street in Edinburgh city centre. There is restricted on-street parking. Waverley and Haymarket train stations are a ten to fifteen minute walk and both the tram line and numerous bus services run from nearby Princes Street. Princes Street Gardens, the National Galleries, Edinburgh’s main shopping areas and several theatres are within a ten minute walk.
