We booked the 5pm deal for 4. 2 adults and 2 teens. It was very quiet for a Saturday early evening but the staff were extremely attentive and the food was brought very quickly. The food, especially the mains (pasta and pizza) were all delicious and we ordered 2 starters, 4 mains a side, 2 desserts and 4 drinks, all for about £50 for a family of 4. Normally we would struggle to get that quality of food for £50 for 2 people never mind 4!
We will definitely return if we are in South side of Glasgow again.

Buongiorno is a classic Italian restaurant on bustling Pollokshaws Road close to Queen’s Park. The passion for food, rustic decor and a warm welcome all add up to a vibrant dining experience. The kitchen team at Buongiorno serve up a range of hearty Italian favourites with a few signature specials.
Menus can change, but starters might feature the garlic breaded mushrooms, the Italian sausage in creamy tomato sauce on toasted bread and the chef’s soup of the day.
Mains include a range of hand-stretched pizza as well as pastas like the house special of penne Buongiorno with chicken, the linguini meatballs and the salmon tagliatelle. Vegetarians can tuck into choices such as the quattro formaggio and the spinach & ricotta cannelloni.
Other mains include the chicken Milanese with linguini napoli and the baked fillet of haddock in capers, olives & fresh tomato broth.
Buongiorno is just a five-minute stroll from both Shawlands and Crossmyloof train stations. There are regular bus routes on the main road outside and limited free pay parking can be found at nearby Shawlands arcade.
