Rivalling Hamlet for the accolade of Shakespeare’s best-known play, Macbeth is awash with violent imagery, haunting scenes (in every sense), cackling witches, dark prophecies, stubborn stains and, spoiler alert, tragic outcomes.

The Big Deal offers a choice of dates for tickets to this compelling outdoors production in the Bard In The Botanics season. Played out by five actors against the backdrop of the gardens, it offers the audience the chance to experience the bard’s most thrilling work in a unique and intimate environment.

Note that seating is not provided, although you can bring your own stools or hire them on the night. The production will last around two hours and 30 minutes.

Critical acclaim

The Bard In The Botanics season has become one of the most eagerly-anticipated dates in Glasgow’s cultural calendar. Comments include this from the Telegraph:
