Have been to the Kilted Skirlie before and really enjoyed it, so when I seen this deal I had to buy it. Staff are friend, setting is lovely especially on a nice day and the food is very good. However they are quite big portions so you definitely wont leave hungry.

Northwest of Glasgow, Kilted Skirlie is a comfortable Scottish restaurant positioned on the southern bank of Loch Lomond in Balloch. With unrivalled views of the Loch and Ben Lomond, the restaurant is the perfect setting for a romantic meal, or to relax after a days shopping in the Loch Lomond Shores retail and leisure complex. Wheelchair accessible and child-friendly, Kilted Skirlie is tastefully decorated with the dynamic colours of tartan that bedeck the walls giving the restaurant a vibrant yet cosy feel.
Sourcing the finest local ingredients to ensure the highest quality fresh seafood, poultry and meat dishes, the chefs at Kilted Skirlie use traditional recipes yet give them a contemporary, unique twist. An example of such a dish is the haggis, neeps and tatties starter which is served as a ‘gateaux’ with a whisky and chive sauce.
Other menu items that have been popular with regular visitors include the chef’s creation ‘chicken in the heather’ (a tender chicken breast cooked in French mustard, honey, garlic and cream); the Scottish salmon Balmoral (fillet of Loch Fyne salmon, rolled in oats); and the kilted beef stew (beef cooked with red wine, herbs and root vegetables). Some distinctly non-Scottish dishes like Cajun enchiladas and vegetarian lasagne have also been known to make guest appearances on the menu at Kilted Skirlie.
Kilted Skirlie is on Ben Lomond Way within the Loch Lomond Shores visitor destination and is a twenty minute drive from Glasgow. On-site parking is available for guests travelling to the restaurant by car and Balloch train station is a fifteen minute stroll away. Bus services run from Glasgow to Balloch with bus stops within easy reach of the restaurant.
