The Sisters Review

  • Rating Rating 2.8/5
Very disappointing food. Warm welcome and friendly staff. Nice ambiance and table. To start, the carrot and ginger soup was lovely, but the ham pastry was dry and tasteless. For mains, the chicken and haggis were nice, though again, dry, due to a lack of sauce. The risotto had minimal smoked haddock content leaving a bland wet boiled rice and poached egg experience. And the meringue with (awful) butterscotch sauce desserts completed the impression that the table d'hote menu has been created by accountants. With so many happy reviewers and friends' recommendations, we were so looking forward to our first "Sister's" visit. Hopefully, this was a one-off.
