  My husband and I had lunch using the 5pm champagne lunch offer and had a superb meal. Despite the refurbishment which is ongoing at present, the staff were very attentive and friendly without being overbearing. The food was beautifully presented and although the portions were not huge, all of the food was very filling and extremely tasty. A throwaway remark to our waiter that it was my birthday resulted in a plate being brought to the table with 'Happy Birthday' written on it in chocolate, with 2 chocolates on it to have with our coffee. A lovely dining experience and we will definitely go back. The only slight downside was the draught from the windows but this was not the usual dining room so allowances can be made. Also, it was snowing quite heavily during our visit so that added to the cold draught.
