'First of 2 trips to Cup this week'

I've visited Cup many times over the past 4 years and this place just never fails to impress. Excellent food and service. Best value and taste for Afternoon tea in Glasgow.

2nd trip to Cup this week and it never fails to impress. Fantastic value for money, delicious food and service is first class.

Cosy tea room on Byres Road

The independently owned Cup Tea Room is a cosy space on Byres Road dedicated to great teas and fabulous hand baked cakes. This is the original of the small chain and it is a bustling, friendly spot which has long been a hit with 5pm customers.

Freshly baked cup cakes

Cup offers a range of options for daytime dining. Start your day with Cup’s morning tea; 3 tiers of pastries, mini bagles, fruit skewers, scones and granola pots served with earl grey or Cup’s very own breakfast blend. Cup has received awards from the UK Tea Guild and has over 40 blends.

Afternoon tea is Cup’s signature dish; pick from its varied tea menu and get a stand filled with finger sandwiches, scones with jam and clotted cream and individual frosted cupcakes. There is a huge choice of cupcakes all freshly baked on the premises from a ferrero rocher cupcake to a red velvet cupcake plus for little ones there’s a great option for a children’s afternoon tea.
Cup’s lunch menu also offers a range of soups, sandwiches and paninis everyday.

West End transport links

Cup Tea Room is located at the top end of Byres Road in the West End of Glasgow opposite the Clydesdale Bank. On street parking is available but restricted and the Tea Lounge is only a few minutes walk from Hillhead subway.
