Great atmosphere, place was very busy, good service although it did feel like we were holding the staff up at 10.30pm when they started closing up around us.
Food was fabulous. The steak frite offer is an amazing deal. Can’t wait to return but won’t have that last drink.

Great for catching up with old friends! Food is delicious and everyone is friendly.
It’s always lovely to find a neighbourhood dining spot that can meet your brunch, lunch and evening dining needs with equal aplomb. The newly-launched Kilmurry & Co on Kilmarnock Road does just this. Branding itself as a ‘brunch to bistro’ restaurant, you can indulge in gourmet French toast and hearty pancake stacks by day, while by night, dine on everything from seafood to steak to stews.
The setting itself could be described as earthy and contemporary Americana, with grainy wooden tables and artfully worn decor creating a minimalist backdrop that’s perfect for casual dining.
Kilmurry & Co offers both brunch and bistro menus, with a selection of all-day mains straddling the two. From the brunch range, expect New York-style classics like the avocado & rye on toast, the buttermilk pancake stack and the homemade waffles. All eggs are organically farmed in Ayrshire and served up in dishes such as Turkish Eggs, huevos rancheros and eggs benedict. Breads are freshly baked on the premises.
All-day specials that you can enjoy from midday till late include steak tacos, homemade meatballs, chicken skewers, burgers and vegan mac ‘n’ cheese.
Kilmurry & Co’s drinks menu is extensive and includes juices, cocktails, beers, wines, spirits and liqueurs. The achingly hip cold brew coffee is a house special.
Kilmurry & Co is based on Kilmarnock Road, not far from Shawlands Arcade, where you can find free parking. The nearest train station is Pollokshaws East, a five-minute stroll away. There are also plenty of bus links available. Both Queen’s Park and Pollok Country Park are within easy reach by foot.
