the service was exceptional, nothing too much for staff, food was fab as always, the only disappointing thing was my desert it was banana parfait with carmelised bananas and cholcolate sauce which I had the previous week and it was delicious but the chef must have forgot the carmelised banana and all I got was banana parfait, pretty dissappointing, first time this has happened though in all fairness, maybe just an oversight, already booked to go back

Opened in January 2006, Arcoona is the Beardmore Hotel’s answer to the fine dining experience. They certainly seem to have hit the nail on the head, having been awarded two AA rosettes for service and food quality. As the flagship restaurant of the four star hotel, Arcoona is designed with the privacy and relaxation of its diners very much in mind. Well spaced tables guarantee a singularly personal meal. Modern Scottish cuisine blended with European tastes grace the menu, from which everything is prepared fresh. Favourites include Charred Fillet of Beef, confit of mushrooms and cherry tomatoes with a béarnaise sauce and Pont Neuf potatoes. A large separate bar is available as is, should the sun be shining, an outdoor seating area for a cool summer drink. Those wishing for the ultimate in seclusion can specify private dining. A light airy, thoroughly discreet place for a drawn out meal.
