    This basement eatery oozes French class in all aspects of decor, comfort, service and food. A warm welcome, attentive/friendly staff, a comfortable and relaxing atmosphere and an amazing 5pm deal made this a 5/5 lunch! £20 for a whole chicken, jus d'roti (gravy), roast potatoes, rocket salad and peas/ham/shallots were all excellent. A shared sweet-platte with an excellent crumbly apple pie, ice-cream, toffee sause, berries,coullis and a spounge pudding (this was a tad bland) was a lovely finish to a great lunch. We had a nice bottle of Sauvignon and plenty of tap water to wash down all this great food!
