We went for afternoon tea with my friend for her birthday.
The sandwiches, scones, cakes were all amazing. We also had a glass of prosecco as well as our tea. It was a beautiful setting and did not disappoint. We cannot wait to go back. We were both full to the brim when we left, and my friend was very happy with her birthday gift. Well worth the money I paid.

Highly recommend this restaurant- we had afternoon tea with prosecco - best choice of gluten free options I have ever been offered. Will definitely go back again for afternoon tea and will also try lunch very soon.

Part of the 200 SVS conference and events centre, The Restaurant on 6th is as sophisticated as the Grade A-listed building which houses it. Decked out with marble and dark wood, designer lighting and stylish, minimalist seats, this rooftop restaurant is a chic spot for a business lunch; romantic dinner or sumptuous afternoon tea. Skyline views of Glasgow vie for attention with the dishes produced by the kitchen.
The Restaurant on 6th is open for breakfast, lunch, dinner and afternoon tea. The express business lunch is geared towards baked potatoes, pizza, salads, panini, pasta and burgers.
The a la carte gives the kitchen more space to flex its culinary muscle. As well as sharing platters, the regularly changing menu features starters such as lemongrass-spiked chicken, soy and ginger cured salmon and steamed Shetland mussels.
Alongside the market fish of the day, typical main course options might be the leg and loin of Perthshire lamb with buttered greens, beetroot dauphinoise and mint pesto or the pulled pork pappardelle served with Stornoway black pudding, granny smith apple and pork liquor.
The Restaurant on 6th is at 200 St Vincent Street, a conference and events venue, in the heart of Glasgow’s business district. Central and Queen Street stations are a short walk. There is pay car parking on Waterloo Street and at Charing X. Nearby attractions include the King’s Theatre on Bath Street and the shopping opportunities of Buchanan Street.
