  My friends and I went for the 3 course set Christmas menu at £19.95, we had to send two of the starters back as the Taleggio deep fried cheese was cold in the middle, the spicy tomato salsa it was supposed to be served with was never salsa by any stretch of the imagination, it resembled and tasted identical to tomato soup which my friend agreed with immediately we tasted it. Main courses were ok, apart from the sprouts which were undercooked and therefore hard and inedible. I was disappointed with the dessert of meringue with Baileys cream, hardly any taste of Baileys at all and totally spoiled by the whole thing being covered in sweet strawberry sauce typically served over ice cream! I have visited this restaurant 3 times this year but would be reluctant to go back after this experience. When I paid the bill which included a tip I wasn't asked how the meal was or even thanked for the tip. The restaurant was busy but that is not an excuse for standards to drop in either food or service.
