My wife and I really enjoyed our lunch in the bistro at Hotel du Vin, St Andrews. The food was of a high standard and was exceptionally good value - we had the two course champagne lunch for £29 for 2. The extras (wine, water, bread) only cost another £20. The service was good too: we thought that the waiter was a little inexperienced but that his willingness to help and his general manner could not be faulted. I think we will most likely go back, not just for a meal, but, to stay a couple of nights too.
