Booked lunch for 6 through 5pm deals for the pre theatre menu. The menu has a great choice. Food was delicious and very well presented. We were all very impressed with everything. We will definitely return. Thank you.

Prawn cocktail for starter is served in a half pint beer mug, loads of prawns, great value. Opted for pizza, delicious but too big to finish. pre-theatre option is great value for money + free glass of wine.

Opened in late 2015, Tutto Matto is a funky, modern Italian restaurant on Nicolson Street. Handy for the Festival Theatre, it has a contemporary rustic interior fitted out with wood block features and decorative pizza oven paddles. The open plan kitchens provide their own fast moving theatre.
Tutto Matto offers 22 varieties of pizza. Baked on a stone base oven at 500 degrees centigrade, the dough is hand-stretched and the sauces are made from the finest San Marzano tomatoes and topped with fior de latte mozzarella.
The pizza range from simple Italian classics such as the Margheritas and pepperoni options. There are several Italian regional specialities such as the Amalfi – topped with creamy white pizza sauce, scampi, squid, crab, Atlantic prawns and mozzarella.
As well as Edinburgh and Glasgow pizzas, there are global flavours at play with New York, Peking and Marrakech among the locations which have lent their names to the pizza here. While pizza are at the heart of the menu, Tutto Matto also offers a considerable range of pastas, salads, nibbles, deli platters and sides.
Tutto Matto is on Nicolson Street, opposite Edinburgh Festival Theatre and within a five minute walk of the National Museum of Scotland. It is a stone throw from the main Edinburgh University campus. There is limited on-street parking. Bus routes to and from the city centre run outside Tutto Matto. Waverley train station and the tram line are a ten minute walk.
